A New Solar Development To Power Your Community

Renewable Connections has been assessing an opportunity to develop a solar farm on land near Abergavenny in Monmouthshire since early 2020. This site is located north of Penpergwm on agricultural fields currently used for grazing animals and crop farming.

If constructed, the project will generate enough electricity to power over 13,000 homes through low impact solar panels which sit above the ground allowing continued livestock farming and opportunities for wildlife to flourish. In total, the project will be responsible for reducing CO2 emissions by around 11,000 tonnes a year and play an important role in helping respond to the Climate Emergency.
